I’m a voice actor and prior to that, I was a petroleum engineer. It’s been quite a journey from one career to the next and I’m excited to share my story with you.
Engineers are often seen as logical, methodical thinkers – which is true, to an extent. But what people don’t realize is that engineers are also creative problem-solvers.
We might not be the first ones to come up with the big picture idea, but we’re the ones who figure out how to make it work. I was an engineer for many years before I made the switch to voice acting. It was a natural progression, really; after all, both disciplines require creativity and problem-solving skills.
I’m excited to share my story with others. I always had a passion for voice acting, and one day, I decided to take the plunge and pursue my dream.
When it comes to making a career change, the transition may not always be a successful one. For years, I worked as an engineer with a major oil and gas corporation, but as I approached my 40th birthday, I encouraged the thought of becoming a voice actor. Fast forward a couple of years later, I decided to take his passion for voice acting and turn it into a full-time gig.
I kid you not, it hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it so far.
Every day, I get to use my creativity and bring characters and brands to life.
It’s truly a dream come true. And now that I’m realizing my passion, I don’t intend to turn away from it.
